“I knew I wanted a doula long before I found out I was pregnant. I knew my husband and I would benefit from having someone help guide us through labor and delivery and if needed serve as an ally to support our wishes. We wanted someone who could be kind and compassionate but also tell it like it is and give tough love if needed. Rhonda fit the bill for all of this and more. I was fortunate to have a pretty straight forward induction and labor but it was helpful to have Rhonda in the room to allow for rotation of the active support person while I was in labor and suggest various positions/pain relief options before I elected to have an epidural. Rhonda’s support had also extended into my postpartum journey as well. It has been wonderful to have Rhonda stop by my home for a few hours throughout my maternity leave to allow me to eat, shower and just talk to an adult while receiving help in caring for my daughter. It is clear Rhonda has a passion for being a doula and I am in aww at the community she is helping to build. I love that she introduces clients to one another to help moms forge new connections. I highly recommend Rhonda for anyone looking for a birth doula or support in postpartum.” - From Jenny

“Rhonda was great to work with during labor and delivery. She was extremely supportive in my decision to try for a VBAC delivery and suggested different labor positions. When my labor stalled and the doctor was recommending a repeat C-section, she helped reassure me I had done everything I could to try for a natural delivery, which helped in my decision to have the C-section. During my C-section she was a calming presence for my husband and helped coach him on what to do and what was going on. We both would highly recommend Rhonda to anyone who is looking for a doula to support them during their labor and delivery.” from Rachael

“As a first time parent, it was worth every penny to have Rhonda on our team. She knew Meriter, its people and its methods inside and out. We felt so much more ready for birth than we ever could have on our own. She was a stalwart advocate throughout and continues to support us on our new journey. Thank you so much Rhonda!!” from Ryan

“I met Rhonda while exploring postpartum support options. While I didn’t end up working with her due to returning to work and needing more basic childcare at that time, based on my interactions with her I think I really would have benefited from this support had I reached out earlier. Our interaction felt very supportive and helpful. She was kind, knowledgeable, and non-judgmental. I recommend others connect with her for the support you need!” From Andrea

“If you want a doula who is highly communicative, deeply supportive, and brings the exact right energy to a long delivery, we recommend Rhonda from Bump2Baby! Rhonda is not your traditional, soft-spoken doula, and for us, that was exactly why she was perfect. She brought a fun, lighthearted, and even goofy energy that kept our spirits high throughout pregnancy and during a marathon labor. We felt incredibly prepared heading into the big day thanks to her curated books, one-on-one sessions, and small-group birth class. While we found a lot of the information shared was repetitive, that repetition is exactly why we felt so confident when we were actually at the hospital. During labor, she was the ultimate teammate, ensuring I felt taken care of while supporting my husband so he could better support me. Even after the birth, she provided immediate, vital guidance for our breastfeeding challenges. Throughout the entire process, she was responsive and felt like a constant presence, not just someone who showed up for the scheduled meetings. Very thankful to have had Rhonda as part of our team!” From Lindsay

“Rhonda helped make my second birth experience much more comfortable and I was more confident than with my first. When I went into labor, my husband had to stay with our toddler until our childcare could arrive, and I was so grateful to have Rhonda with me until he could be with me. My TOLAC labor did not go according to plan, but Rhonda helped me make informed and confident choices that made my experience having a repeat C section as pleasant as it could be! She truly cares about her clients and has checked in with me several times after giving birth. I’m so grateful for the comfort she brought me during labor.” From Kelly

“Rhonda was a joy to work with! She truly is the doula with the Mary Poppins touch! As a first time parent, she was able to educate my husband and I on things we did not know about birth. She was always just a text or phone call away. Rhonda is a very caring person and exactly the kind of person you want in the room as you welcome your baby. She also has lots of education on lactation and breastfeeding which is helpful beyond the birth.” From Alexis

“Rhonda was a huge help to us as we prepared for our birth, labored, and survived the first few weeks postpartum. Her pre-labor counseling helped us to be prepared for birth and to really think about our options for labor. As a lactation consultant, she also helped me be prepared for breastfeeding. She was supportive and present during our actual birth and was helpful in reminding us of pain reduction strategies and keeping our heads in the right place. We also used her postpartum services to help give us some time to breathe, take care of things around the house, and troubleshoot breastfeeding. She also helped make food for us which was so helpful! Rhonda would be a great support for any family who is giving birth or has a newborn at home.” From Leah

“We are so grateful to Rhonda for the help and support she has provided our family as first time parents! We quickly became overwhelmed after a difficult labor experience and extended stay in the hospital. Rhonda has helped us get adjusted to our first child, navigate my husband returning to work, and providing us with resources and advice. As a FTM, she's helped me learn new skills like navigating going out with baby alone, learning how to give a bath without a baby tub, and planning ahead for my transition back to work this fall. We look forward to mornings when Rhonda will be here and appreciate her personal experience being a mother of two in addition to her formal training as a doula.” From Sara
