Bump2Baby Doula Services is a boutique doula practice located in Verona, WI. We serve young families throughout Verona the Madison, WI metro area. We also travel around to surrounding cities so no worries if you live within an hour or so of Madison- we have you covered.
I’m known as Doula Rhonda. I am the owner, primary doula, girl boss and basically the one you’ll interact with at the practice. As I type this, I am in the process of adding to my team so that in the event we have more than one family who may need us at a birth, HG or postpartum event we will have another doula or two, or three who can be available on-call for our clients or if necessary, assist with a family in immediate need.
People ask me why the Mary Poppins connection…One day a friend noticed my Mary Poppins posters with my doula decor and said “Hey, you are “The Doula With The Mary Poppins Touch”-and suddenly a tagline was born. The funny thing is, I feel like a real Mary Poppins most of the time…spending time with a family and then moving on to the next…I have met and worked with over 25 families through births (vaginal births, c-section, VBACS…low risk…high risk pregnancies and postpartum journeys and taught classes to my heart’s content…It seems I’ve done it all! And I feel so blessed to be able to share my passion to support all these families. Now, if only I could fly through the air and disappear through chalkboard paintings on sidewalks!
As a mom of two myself, I have experienced births both with and without medications and endured through the agonizingly difficult HG journey with both pregnancies. The truth here is that I’ve done it. I’ve been the first time mom, scared about the “what ifs”-the HG sufferer wondering if I truly would make it through to the delivery dates and let’s not forget the breastfeeding mom struggling with the latching on and positioning in the middle of the night! augh. Been there.
Parenthood can be a difficult adjustment. The movies make it look so easy and yet…if you’ve been there when it hasn’t been…easy…you needed support, right? How does hiring an older experienced doula who stays with your family from pregnancy through those overwhelming first days with your baby, sound? Day or night. Yep, that’s how we roll here at Bump2Baby. Tells us what you need. We will figure it out together.
Bump2Baby Doula Services in Verona is where you can find the empathy and true support you are going to need as new parents. We take time to sit down and catch up with what is going on since our last visit. We stay to fold that basket of towels and would be happy to put them away while we brew you a nice cup of tea. We’ll help you get all comfy and settled in with your newborn for feedings... Oh, and did I mention? We can even bring along a freezer meal for you and dad for your dinner. We’ll just pop that in the oven quickly and set your table before we leave….that’s the kind of detail you’ll get and should expect.
We want you to know that you won’t be shuffled between team members of our agency-you won’t have to go through the task of scheduling ten interviews to talk to all our doulas. It’s one call, or one visit. Done. 30 minutes. It’s FREE and you are under no obligation to hire us just because we chatted, but hey—-we’d love the opportunity to have the 30 min to convince you why you DO want us on your support team.
Services We Offer To Our Clients:
Birth Doula Support-as soon as our contract is signed we begin discussing the birth plan and future sessions that will be filled with information about your upcoming birth journey! Childbirth instruction, Spinning Babies, positioning, breathing, evidence-based information on epidurals, pitocin, c-sections…whatever you request! Then, when the big day comes, we’ll be right by your side supporting you and your partner through the birth we worked towards all those months! Start making your list of questions! No question is silly or dumb! We’ve heard them all!
(When requested) HG Support-Hyperemesis Gravidarum. When morning sickness isn’t “just” morning sickness. If you are a sufferer, please contact me. We can work out the support plan that you need. Don’t go it alone. Doula Rhonda is here for you. As HG is a very unique situation, we do not assign doulas who have not personally experienced this to clients. We want to provide a real “been there” support especially for this service.
Postpartum Support-When we design your specialized birth plan we will also discuss a postpartum plan. If you have made plans for help with your partner or a relative or friend, that’s great! However, there comes the day when they go back home and your partner goes back to work. You might really benefit with a little household help, a laundry toss and fold, freezer meal prep or delivery, a chat and maybe just a nap while baby is being cuddled and adored by their doula in another room. Postpartum support is offered for the first 12 months from the child’s birth, so don’t be hesitant to call if you’ve been home a few months and feel you could benefit! There is so much we can offer! *We also offer an extended Newborn Nanny option. Please inquire if interested.
Birth and Newborn Education-Doula Rhonda offers prenatal classes in both private client settings and public classes in the local Verona area throughout the year to help you feel more confident and prepare before baby arrives. Check out the Recreation/Parks Dept &Community Center website in Verona at: https://www.veronawi.gov You’d be surprised at the variety of classes she has come up with! The listing is complete through February of 2027. Don’t hesitate to sign up early. If there isn’t a lot of people on your particular class list, Doula Rhonda will contact those interested and teach privately at her practice.
