I am a certified and dedicated birth and postpartum doula and I live in Verona, Wisconsin, just outside of Madison.
I first became interested in becoming a doula while working in a large hospital network in Indianapolis. I liked the way they were there to support all aspects of women giving birth and I knew that someday I wanted to learn more about it, and now here I am!
I have an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Wisonsin Rock County in Janesville, attended the Lutheran Deaconness Program at Concordia University River Forest, IL and also studied Spanish at Central College in Pella, IA and also at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
I volunteer throughout my community within several non-profits, the most promininent serving as the President of the FRIENDS of our local library for the last ten years.
My hobbies include: quilting, sewing, writing, cross stitching, reading and baking
I live with my husband of many wonderful years and we have two grown sons. We live in a strict HOA in a condo, so no pets to report at this time.
I am a strong advocate for women's rights and informed consent in childbirth. As a doula, I will support my clients physically and emotionally and also provide them with evidence-based information and FACTS while encouraging them to advocate for their needs throughout the birth journey.
